Friday Five

Friday Five
Happy Friday! Who's excited for the long weekend? Josh and I are headed to Kansas City today and I can't wait! He's never been before so I'm really looking forward to simultaneously introducing him to fun things I've done and exploring new things together. Here's what else I'm loving this week:Julian Taylor Women's Short-Sleeve Lace Dress with Belt 1. How cute are these Julian Taylor lace dresses? I've wanted a fun little lace dress for a long time and fell in love with these. They're on sale for $40 and $29 respectively and I am having the hardest time deciding between the two! Thoughts? 2. Have you watched Taylor Swift's new music video for Wildest Dreams yet? It's amazing and makes me want to go on a safari ASAP. Sam Edelman vs. LC Lauren Conrad Ballet Flats 3. We're officially entering flats seasons! And that means it is time to stock up your closet with some cute new pairs. I was looking for a fun blue pair of flats and came across these Sam Edelman ones (left) and LC Lauren Conrad ones (right). The Sam Edelman ones were originally $100 and are marked down to $59. The LC ones were originally $50 and are marked down to $24.99. Which do you prefer? Bacchanalian Society of Omaha Elton John Tickets 4. If you're a fan of wine, literacy, Elton John, and live in the Omaha area, then you are going to want to check out Bacchanalian Society of Omaha's Fall 2015 Competitive Wine Tasting. I'm going to be sharing more information about it in a post of its own (one of my fellow Junior League members is on the board), but basically you get a team together and each team brings three bottles of the same wine varietal. The event on October 8th has a theme of white blends. Attendees vote on their favorites from what everyone brings, and the most popular wines win. The teams that brought the most popular wines win bottles of wine! All proceeds from this event go to the Literacy Center. And if you buy your tickets before September 10th you're entered to win a pair of Elton John tickets for his October 3rd show in Omaha! Kansas City Renaissance Festival Her Heartland Soul 5. I'm visiting the Renaissance Festival in Kansas City this weekend! I've never been to one before and am really excited! Is it totally barbaric that I'm most looking forward to trying a turkey leg? haha I've just never walked around straight up eating a turkey leg before. It seems like it would be fun. [Tweet "Friday Favorites #fashion #ff #friday #omaha #wordsmakelifebetter #KC "] Questions of the Day: Have you been to a Renaissance Festival before? What are your plans for Labor Day weekend?
