Restaurant Week
I met up with some lovely ladies to enjoy dinner at Le Bouillon. Restaurant Week started on Friday in Omaha and they were both wanting to try out Le Bouillon. I've previously raved about them and really wanted to get to enjoy their food again. I decided to deviate from the Restaurant Week menu but loved everything I got. The Bon Homme is one good drink.
We ended our night with delicious cocktails at Berry and Rye and crafted some fun plans for next weekend. I can't wait. :D
Three Cooks One Kitchen
Saturday Josh and I headed over to Jeff and Joanna's for some grilled cheese on the grill! Joanna, Hannah, and myself were working on the latest edition of Three Cooks One Kitchen.
I'll be posting a full recap on Thursday.
It was every bit as delicious as it looks.
Sunday with my Dad
Sunday Josh and I woke up early to pick my dad up from the airport. He was finally going to be here!! We were all hungry so we decided to introduce him to Wheatfields. If you're ever in Omaha you must eat here. It's the best breakfast food.
After breakfast and a Costco run we headed over to Mount Vernon Gardens to walk around. What started out as a chilly day turned into a beautiful, sunny day with temperatures in the 70's. It was perfect.
After we toured the gardens we drove to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge so we could walk across it and show my dad the Nebraska/Iowa State line.
Our walking worked up an appetite. We headed over to Pitch in Dundee to grab some pizza for dinner. The mushroom pizza stole the show for me. It was topped with truffle oil and absolutely delicious. I think mushrooms are one of my all-time favorite foods. It's so crazy to me because I used to think they were the grossest things ever. Proof that taste buds change!
